Graduation will be here before you know it!!! 

Juniors 

If you have not already you need to sign up to take the ACT and/or the SAT these scores are required by most colleges for admittance. 

College is just around the corner, you need to be applying to colleges now.  November. 1st is the first application deadline.   

Common App is a great resource for applying to college

Check out the Scholarship page and begin applying now! Many scholarships have deadlines in October and November. 

FAFSA: this is a very important step for college. The FAFSA provides information to the government for grants and financial aid. You must have your taxes done to complete the FAFSA.  FAFSA will be avalible in October: dead line is to file is March 10th

Sign up to take the ACT and/or the SAT. These scores are used for college acceptance and will allow you to take dual credit classes next year.  

If you are a 21st century scholar you need to sign into your account and make sure that you have completed all of the steps for the scholarship.  You Must have all 12 steps done by the end of the year!

Begin researching scholarships! There are many scholarships to apply for this year. 

Go on college visits. This will allow you to get a better feel for the campus environment.  

If you are a 21st century scholar you need to sign into your account and make sure that you have completed all of the steps for the scholarship. You should Have 9 steps done by the end of the year. 

Sophmores 

Freshman 

If you are a 21st century scholar you need to sign into your account and make sure that you have completed all of the steps for the scholarship.  You should have 6 steps done by the end of the year. 

Look into colleges you may want to attend. There are over 4 thousand different colleges in the US 

Take the ACT and/or the SAT. The more you take it the better your score will be.  These scores are needed to take dual credit classes.

If you are a 21st century scholar you need to make an account and  complete the first 3 steps for the scholarship by the end of the year. 

 This is a great time to start exploring things that interest you. Volunteer somewhere, it is a great way to tryout jobs you might want in the future. 

 The ACT and the SAT are two test you should look into taking. THe more practice you have taking these test the better you will do on them. These test scores are needed if you want to take dual credit classes in high school.  

compile all of your awards, certificates, and achievements from High school. This will help when applying to college.  

Middle School 

Middle schoolers I hope that you are enjoying your adventure at the secondary building so far. We are excited to have you learning and growing with us! 

7th and 8th graders that think may be eligible for 21st century scholars need to go ahead and apply. After 8th grade you cannot apply for this scholarship!  This scholarship pays for college tuition as any state school.
